As a Respite Care Team Leader, you will lead a dedicated and talented team of people who provide excellent care to children ages 3 to 22 who have special needs. You will oversee the planning of fun and exciting activities for the children while their parents or caregivers can take a much-needed break with the confidence that their children are safe and receiving the best care by trained professionals. You will utilize your expertise to link families to needed resources that help the children and families succeed!

What does a Behavioral Team Leader do?

  • Leads the team to help incredible children and young adults have an amazing time while their parents take a much-needed break!
  • Helps Direct Support Professionals achieve success in their important work with the children.
  • Oversees planning of in-home and center-based respite scheduling, staffing, and enrichment activities for children to enjoy.

What are the requirements?

  • You have provided direct support to children with developmental disabilities for at least one year.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of related experience providing team supervision/ management with children who have Developmental Disabilities and significant behavior challenges.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field required.
  • You’re a positive and supportive person.
  • You have great leadership skills!
