Our client is a nationwide real estate investment trust and direct lender providing loan origination and servicing for multifamily, single-family rental portfolios, and other diverse commercial real estate assets. The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the daily cash process, assisting with the monthly close process, and assisting with the internal and external audit processes.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee completion of daily cash support
Investigate and resolve daily cash differences and complete daily journal entries
Perform monthly account analyses and reconciliations, including investigation and resolution of discrepancies
Assist in the coordination of external and internal auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at quarter and year-end
Manage year-end cash confirmation audit process including coordination with external auditors
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
