Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Start Date:   2024 - 2025 School Year

Work Hours: Up to 37.5 hours.

Caseload: 1 school site; up to 50 students

We are looking for a fresh face to occupy our SLP  opening for the 2024/2025 school year. This will be an onsite position located near Oak Park, IL.


We are partnering with a well-respected School District near Oak Park, IL that is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly, positive, and professional environment and work in a fast-paced setting. The client is seeking a candidate available for full-time hours. They would prefer someone with previous School, Early Childhood, or Pediatric Experience. The schedule will be 7.5 Hour Days Monday through Friday.


What we are looking for:


• Experience working with students with behavioral and physical health diagnoses.

• Ability to manage stressful and sometimes challenging situations.

• Skill in documentation.

• Knowledge of various treatment types and modalities using evidence-based practice.


Job Details:


• Assess and provide treatment to students in groups and/or 1:1s.

• Develop, plan, and prepare comprehensive active treatment groups and individual treatment strategies for student caseload using OT evidence-based practice.

• Document student progress on a weekly basis.

• Update treatment plans in a timely manner.

• Provide consultations as needed.

• Supervise occupational therapy assistant(s), intern(s), and/or student(s).

• Contribute to continuous quality improvement.



Requirements

Active PEL IL SLP endorsement.
