The Class A Shuttle Driver is responsible for shuttling loads in a timely manner between the Allentown, PA depot and the Turkey Hill plant in Conestoga, PA.
- Evening Shuttles.
- Responsible for driving vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, per established Fleet Safety guidelines.
- Responsible to complete and return all necessary paperwork including signed proof of deliveries, credit memos, and route summaries.
- Communicates all concerns to team leader/supervisor.
- Maintain a professional relationship with everyone.
- Review customer orders and verify invoice and delivered products for accuracy, when required.
- Ensure cargo area is at proper temperature level.
- Available for varied scheduled work hours as assigned.
- Required to wear only authorized uniform during working hours.
- Maintain good housekeeping principles within truck cab and cargo area.
- Report all mechanical problems to a team leader/supervisor and RYDER immediately. Responsible to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and forward copies to assigned location. Fuel vehicle as required.
- Maintain Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to log daily activity and adhere to all applicable hours of service requirements according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
