Job Description

Cricut is seeking an experienced and versatile Software QA Engineer who will be responsible for testing and qualifying Web, Mobile, Native, API and Hardware for product releases. You will be responsible for testing new hardware products & applications and communicating with development teams. You should be able to represent QA concerns in cross-functional team meetings and provide valuable end-user feedback to improve the customer experience. 

This position requires deep understanding of the software development life cycle, experience with a variety of testing techniques, and strong written and organizational skills.  

The successful candidate should be able to develop and execute an organized test plan to release high quality products to market on schedule. 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
  • 8+ years' experience as a Software QA Engineer
  • Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience in creating test plans and writing test cases.
  • Experience in testing user stories / features, API and doing regression testing.
  • Experience in running test automation using Selenium web drivers, Cucumber or Cypress.
  • Hands on experience with testing, analyzing and troubleshooting communication between front-end and API / Web Services.
  • Experience in analyzing logs and debugging using browser debugging tools.

All candidates considered for this position must also: 

  • Currently reside in the United States of America and, if not already in Salt Lake City, be willing/able to relocate to the Salt Lake City area immediately, if offered this position
  • Possess current right-to-work authorization (or the ability to receive it through sponsorship) to work for any company in the United States
  • Be willing to work in-office 3-5 days/week as-required by the work and your team's expectations

Good to have skills:

  • Programming experience using TypeScript, C# or Java.
  • Experience in Appium
  • Experience in testing Software interacting with hardware
  • Experience in Testing and Qualifying Consumer Electronics Products

Candidates who meet all of the required elements, plus at least one of the preferred elements of this role, and who are currently living in the Salt Lake City area will be considered in advance of other candidates who do not have preferred skills or currently live in the Salt Lake City area.
