Clarifi Staffing Solutions is looking for an on-site School Psychologists to apply for this amazing opportunity to join our team. School Psychologist are on the team of school-based interventionists meant to help children succeed despite learning, emotional or behavioral issues. These highly trained professionals screen students for disabilities, offer counseling and help teachers and families create Independent Education Plans (IEPs).
The ideal candidate must be fluent in Spanish and able to provide services to students in both English and Spanish.
The successful candidate will work full-time hours and will be responsible for providing a range of psychological services to students in an elementary school setting. The candidate will work with a diverse population of students and will be required to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas of need
• Develop and implement strategies to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement interventions and supports for students
• Participate in Problem Solving Team meetings to develop and implement plans to support struggling students
• Conduct 504 evaluations and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications
• Conduct evaluations for special education eligibility and re-evaluations (shared with two other psychologists in the same building)
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each student
• Keep up-to-date with best practices and trends in the field of school psychology
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
•Knowledge of public-school law, ethics and standards of practice for School Psychology.
•Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the school environment.
•Ability to use data to formulate recommendations and to assist in the decision-making process for students.
•Ability to be self-directed, responsible, and complete work within prescribed timelines.
•Ability to work collaboratively with all school stakeholders.
Requirements
Master's degree in School Psychology
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Current license or certification as a School Psychologist in the state of Illinois
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in the field of school psychology
