Project Engineer III – Transmission Line Engineering
Location: Flexible | Full-Time | Hybrid Remote Available
Salary Range: Competitive, Based on Experience + PE License Bonus

Design the Grid of the Future. Deliver Power with Purpose.

At Luxus Build, we empower engineers to lead the charge in creating smarter, safer, and more resilient energy infrastructure. We are seeking a seasoned Project Engineer III to join our Transmission Line Engineering team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on designing and optimizing overhead transmission and distribution systems for our utility clients across the country.

Whether you're refining legacy systems or creating PLS-CADD models from scratch, your expertise will help shape the future of power delivery—reliably, efficiently, and sustainably.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Engineer III, you’ll work closely with other engineers and project managers to plan, design, and deliver electrical transmission solutions that meet client needs while staying within budget and code compliance. In this role, you will:

  • Design Transmission & Distribution Lines: Use PLS-CADD™ software to design new overhead systems and revise existing line models with precision and efficiency.

  • Perform Technical Reviews: Review engineering documents, plans, specifications, and equipment to ensure alignment with utility and safety standards.

  • Develop Engineering Reports: Create detailed technical calculations, sketches, and correspondence to support project execution and client communications.

  • Apply Industry Standards: Assist in the ongoing refinement of both internal and client-specific design standards to support project consistency and innovation.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering managers, designers, and clients to meet project goals and ensure exceptional outcomes.

  • Project Oversight: Take ownership of assigned projects, manage timelines, track deliverables, and support documentation and reporting functions.

  • Contribute to Growth: Mentor junior staff and play a key role in continuous improvement and quality control initiatives within the transmission group.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering required.

  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in power transmission or utility engineering, with experience using PLS-CADD™ to design overhead lines.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    • Strong analytical, documentation, and technical writing skills.

  • Communication & Collaboration:

    • Effective communicator with the ability to work across disciplines and client teams.

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Why Luxus Build?

We don’t just hire engineers—we cultivate future industry leaders.

  • Flexible Work Environment: Enjoy a hybrid remote work structure that supports work-life balance and geographic flexibility.

  • Competitive Compensation: Market-driven salary with performance bonuses and PE license incentives.

  • Career Growth: Work on cutting-edge power infrastructure projects while gaining access to leadership opportunities and training support.

  • Team Culture: Join a supportive and innovative engineering team that values collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning.

  • Benefits Package:

    • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance

    • 401(k) with Employer Match

    • Paid Time Off, Holidays, and Professional Development Assistance

    • Licensing and Certification Reimbursement
