This position is located at our turbocharger facility in Beaumont, TX.

Job Summary

Previous experience in automotive and OEM is preferred, but not required. This position will assemble turbochargers using new and remanufactured parts. Position reports to lead in assembly department.

Detail essential job responsibilities, requirements, and key deliverables for the role:

  • Assemble turbochargers
  • Checking Bin Priority and AO with part
  • Staging and assembly prep
  • Stage and move scrap product
  • Touch up/clean each component
  • Conduct preliminary inspections and measure product with calipers/micrometers
  • Unit tear downs, placement of parts including hold downs, band clamps, actuators, and internal components
  • Meet daily goals set by production plan
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
  • Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
  • May be asked to assist with production part runner duties as time allows
  • May be asked to assist with assembly part runner duties as time allows
  • Follow company procedures and directives.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry safety standards
  • Employee may perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Minimum Experience

  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalency
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments; calipers and micrometers.
  • Familiarity with hand/power tools, sandblasting
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to operate soldering machines
  • Ability to create and interpret technical documentation
  • Basic computer skills such as emailing, record keeping, ordering, inventory management and form filing

Work Environment:

Some exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

Physical Demands:

Sitting 0%, standing/walking 100%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear.
