Automotive Lot Porter – Hoehn Porsche

Job Description:

Are you interested in the automotive industry? Looking to get your foot in the door? Do you work well in a fast paced, customer service oriented arena? Do you have a love for cars? Hoehn Porsche is a well-established automotive dealership with a full time opportunity for the right candidate. A position is readily available in the Lot Department, pay is starting at $17.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Parking vehicles
  • Washing and vacuuming vehicles with an attention to detail
  • Working with a positive attitude in a busy environment
  • Performing various tasks and duties as a team member of a premium car line
  • Occasional valet pick-up/delivery and client transport shuttle driving

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Detail orientated
  • Ability to multi-task
  • DMV print-out with clean driving record
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Clear criminal background.
  • Clear drug-screen.

Why Hoehn Motors? 

The Hoehn family has been in the automobile business since the 1920s.  In 1938, T.W. Hoehn was awarded a Chevrolet franchise in Memphis, Tennessee.  He passed that dealership to his son, T.W. Hoehn, Jr., when he retired in 1950. T.W. Hoehn, Jr., expanded their Hoehn Chevrolet footprint across the  country, adding franchises in St. Louis, Kansas City and Beverly Hills.  In 1970 he sold the dealerships and retired to La Jolla.  In 1975, he saw an opportunity to buy Brooking Oldsmobile-Honda-Mercedes in Car Country Carlsbad, one of the first “auto-malls” in the country.  His timing was serendipitous, as 1975 saw the end of a recession and the rapid economic and population growth of North County, as well as the surge in popularity of Honda and Mercedes-Benz in the U.
