Description

LinQuest is seeking a Military Trip Planner to support the HQ Space Training and Readiness Command located in Colorado Springs, CO.

An active TS//SCI clearance is required; however, a Secret clearance may be considered.

The HQ STARCOM prepares the USSF to prevail in competition and conflict through innovative education, training, doctrine, and test.

A strong candidate has deep experience planning and executing trips for senior Government officials. In this position, you will:

  • Conduct trip planning and associated administrative support tasks.
  • Create official trip itineraries, to include securing travel arrangements, identifying specific dress requirements, creating an escort plan, a communication plan, and gathering POC information.
  • Coordinate with internal and external protocol, public affairs, Commanders Action Group, security, and other special staff offices to ensure efficiency and mission accomplishment.
  • Arrange for ground and air transportation, lodging, luggage handling, meals, and other logistics.
  • Assist with creating official travel orders.
  • Ensure read-aheads are sent in advance to applicable offices.
  • Propose agenda items to reflect the topics/issues/information to maximize trip outcomes.
  • Schedule trip meetings and engagements.
  • Assist with calendar management tasks.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • An active TS//SCI clearance is required; however, a Secret clearance may be considered.
  • 3+ years of trip planning experience supporting DoD customers
  • Experience with the Defense Travel System and Joint Travel Regulations
  • Experience providing direct support to General Officers and/or Senior Civilians in a Headquarters (i.e., US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, Field Command, or equivalent)
  • Accustomed to professionally working with internal and external senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel), SharePoint, and Windows
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • BA/BS degree

Compensation:

  • The salary for this position ranges from approximately $70,000 to $80,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
