Job Description

Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager in Network Architecture to join our rapidly growing team! As a Project Manager, you will oversee all programs being worked on by our Network Architects and Brightspeed Technology Advancement Center (BTAC). This position will be responsible for delivering a summarized view of the benefits the team is delivering to the business in an executive format that is easy to consume. This role will work closely with the business, IT and executive teams to ensure alignment of strategy and implementation.

As the Project Manager in Network Architecture, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver monthly accomplishments of items each team members have contributed to the business
  • Act as the front door into all requests and demands coming into our lab (BTAC) Brightspeed Technology Advancement Center
  • Produce lab roadmap that outlines all work and timelines associated to requests for lab functions
  • Be responsible for scheduling calls and ensuring key participants drive to a solution to meet each milestone
  • Work closely with cross functional teams & vendor partners to manage progress on solutions development and drive rapid progress
  • Present program updates/status to our leadership and stakeholders
  • Create bi-monthly All Hands presentation of the work that has been accomplished and the work we need to be focused on for the next two months

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 5+ years’ experience with telecom industry, preferably in Network systems
  • 5+ years' experience in Project management
  • 5+ years’ experience driving software development lifecycle and architecting IT solutions
  • Firm grasp of networking concepts including Fiber, PON and copper networks
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical information
  • Collaborative, team builder with strong communication skills, ability to negotiate, often at higher levels
  • Project management skills, PMP Certification
  • Experience with latest trends in technology both mobile and web, to design and built innovative and efficient solutions
