Description

Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic that will be based in our Caruthersville, MO plant. In this role, you’ll perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs and maintenance to mobile equipment and rolling stock. The mechanic also determines causes of operating problems, consults schematics, and orders replacement parts.  Our Maintenance team members get to grow by continual learning using internal and external resources.  

Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., is part of Arcosa’s Inland Barge Group, and is a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. Arcosa Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.

What You'll Do:

•Basic repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical functions (forklifts, cranes, golf carts)
•Basic preventive maintenance and repair of motors, transmissions
•Troubleshoot motors and transmissions
•Vehicle/automotive mechanics
•Follow all safety rules and practices
•May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
•Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related industrial maintenance mechanic role
•Experience in repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment is preferred
•Previous experience in troubleshooting and repairing PLC/CNC equipment is beneficial
•Previous experience in a shipyard or steel manufacturing industry is a plus
•Able to work weekends or over time as needed
