Summary:

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling machines and lathes to ensure consistent, high-quality production. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to perform accurate machine setups and machining operations. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to uphold tight tolerances and quality standards. Manage tooling changes, program loading, and adjustments to feeds, speeds, and offsets while troubleshooting issues as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in line with 5S and safety protocols. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to drive continuous improvement and machining efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

    • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling machines and lathes, ensuring consistent, high-quality output.

    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications for accurate setup and machining.

    • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using standard measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges), to maintain high tolerance and quality standards.

    • Change tooling, load programs, adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets, and troubleshoot any setup or machining discrepancies.

    • Uphold clean, organized, and safe workstations adhering to 5S and company safety protocols.

    • Collaborate with colleagues from Engineering, Quality, and Production to continually optimize setups and machining efficiency.

Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of solid hands-on experience in CNC machining and setup with mills and lathes.

    • Proficient in blueprint reading and well-versed in common part inspection practices.

    • Experience or aptitude with 5‑axis machining or multi‑spindle lathes is a significant plus.

    • Strong familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection processes.

    • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    • Thrives in a team environment, exhibits a self-motivated and positive attitude, and brings energy to the role.
