Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50+ labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Affinity in Louisville, KY for a Dental Lab Technician I

The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. 

This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement!  

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
  • Pour positive models from impressions supplied by dentists using liquid stone mixture.
  • Trim models with bulk and or fine trimmer.
  • From hardened model, saw out appropriate tooth that requires restoration.
  • Attach to articulator, verifying the bite of the patient to insure proper fit of the final product.
  • All fabrication steps and applicable tools are outlined in the Technical Team Policies for Model Prep.
  • Insure all steps are followed, in order, to insure consistent, accurate results.
  • Review final work and check completely that all quality standards as well as esthetics, have been met before passing the work to the next technician.
  • Attendance is considered an essential function of this position.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required: 

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, excellent perception skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve, using past experience and success to gauge best steps on future cases.

 Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

  • Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • No experience required

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach
  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions

  • Vision capabilities: Depth perception, attention to detail and/or color
  • Push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 pounds
