UCT is seeking a talented and driven Information Security Analyst to join our team! This role is responsible for aligning security policy with business objectives, controls and frameworks. It will also significantly impact policies and procedures by ensuring strategies are documented and reviewed for accuracy and fit. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and ensuring technical requirements of cyber security are appropriately documented and integrated into the overall site security efforts.
  • Better application and understanding of cyber security principles.
  • Reviewing and analyzing planned projects and initiatives that may have an impact on the cyber security policies and procedures.
  • Evaluating cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to computing resources and clearly communicate into written policies and procedures.
  • Researching and documenting security best practices for devices, applications, and emerging technologies.
  • Evaluating compliance with the organization's security policies and making recommendations for areas of improvement.
  • Experience navigating complex organizations, developing, and delivering vision through various communication strategies and presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences.
  • Good understanding of security governance, compliance, and risk management principles.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to present administrative, technical, and operational information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word as well as diagrams and charts.
  • Ability to explain an experienced approach to technical editing.
  • Ability to explain NIST standards and associate with enterprise policy, and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and update cybersecurity policy documents, system security plans, baselines and threat models for deployment and risk acceptance decisions.
  • Strong teamwork skills, including interaction with end users and operations personnel, in a service-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of networking technologies and protocols.
  • Occasional travel may be required between the two sites.
  • Familiarity with common standards, frameworks, and regulations such as:
    • NIST, ISO, COBIT, SIG, CCM, SOC-2, FAIR, SOX 404 a/b PCI, GDPR.
  • Able to function independently and perform routine tasks such as:
    • Facilitate meetings, organize conference calls, deliver presentations, and so forth.
  • Possesses and demonstrates a strong understanding of control assessment techniques and processes.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral & written communications to include report development and delivery.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

 Experience Requirement:

  • 1 year in developing cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • 1 year experience maintaining policies and procedures with an emphasis on cybersecurity controls per the Risk Management Approach.
