Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for creating Bill of Materials (BoMs), Installation Detail Plans and the implementation of projects in the field.  The Field Service Engineer will support business in Texas, Louisiana, and California. Minimal travel to sites required.

Responsibilities

  • Must have knowledge and Experience of using ATT Network Management Systems
  • Previous Central Office Experience
  • Provide remote support and troubleshooting assistance to Test Technicians deployed in the field
  • Writing of BOMs
  • Provide technical assistance to the Project Management team.
  • Ability to write test plans and non-intrusive Methods of Procedure (EMOPs)
  • Organize and conduct meetings as necessary to meet departmental objectives
  • Work with internal department managers as needed to meet company objectives
  • Understands, adheres to, and promotes the Environmental, Health & Safety policies 
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years telecommunications training and/or experience. Must have demonstrated proficiency at the Technician and Project Mgt. level. 
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Excellent Customer service skills
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office and Vendor Specific Software.
  • Think critically and problem solve
  • Handle confidential/ sensitive information with discretion
  • Good judgment

  

Working Conditions

  • Use of standard office equipment

  • Finger and wrist dexterity
  • Light physical effort (usually lifting/moving 50 pounds)
  • Walking up and down stairs General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.  Ability to provide support during and outside regular business hours is required.
  • Work indoor/outdoor with variable conditions
  • Regional travel required.
  • Must be able to work in the United States.
