SUMMARY OF POSITION

Kinsley is seeking Forman, Equipment Operators and Laborers to join our growing civil site crews in North East, MD. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.  Equipment operators will need to possess prior experience operating loaders, and backhoes.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

FOREMAN

• Effectively lead, manage, and motivate crews of 5 to 10 individuals.
• Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors
• Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
• Responsible for the production process
• Plan and schedule for necessary manpower, tools, materials, and equipment to complete the job.
• Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs.

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 

• Operates various heavy equipment in compliance with Kinsley’s safety standards.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of construction practices and site requirements.
• Ensures equipment is maintained through regular checks and servicing.
• Performs additional responsibilities as necessary to support the team and achieve project goals.

GENERAL LABORER

• Assist in backfilling and running compaction equipment
• Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
• Use various hand and power tools
• Assist with removal of fine grade stones along curb lines and sidewalks
• Take and understand instructions from crew leaders
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required

REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of underground utilities and general construction processes.
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as track loaders, graders, or similar machinery.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and contributing to a safe job site environment.
• Punctuality and dependability are essential.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
