Job Description

NSI Electrical Technician's perform a wide variety of duties associated with Industrial X-Ray system production, installation, and reporting.

What you will do:

  • Mechanical assembly of capital equipment per drawings, written or verbal instructions.
  • Fabrication of components per engineered drawings or verbal instructions to include cutting, drilling and tapping.
  • Electrical assembly per schematics.
  • Wire and cable termination to panel.
  • System power-up and troubleshooting.
  • Motion programming.
  • Imaging testing (training provided).
  • Preparation of equipment or systems for shipment.
  • System installation at customer’s site which includes:
    • Travel required up to 35% for installations, both domestic and international
    • No stay longer than 2 weeks, typical around 5 days.
  • Completion of system quality documentation and required ISO 9001 documentation
  • Maintain and control of stock inventory levels
  • Participation in improvement projects

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • An Associates degree and a minimum of one year's experience in a related field.
  • Mechanical & electrical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of fabrication & assembly techniques.
  • Blue print and schematics reading.
  • Safe operation of hand & power tools.
  • Good communication skills & be a team player.
  • Must be able to perform overtime & weekend work as needed.
