Job Description
The employee is responsible for choreographing and teaching cheer routines to the cheerleading squad and is also responsible for setting and conducting practice times after academic classes and supervising the team at designated games and other activities where the squad cheers. The Coach will support each participating student in achieving a higher level of skill, an enhanced appreciation for the values of discipline and teamwork, and an increased level of self-esteem. Provides direction and support to Assistant Cheerleading Coaches, as appropriate, in developing their coaching skills and activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coaches individual participants, small groups and the team, as appropriate, in the skills necessary for the achievement in the sport.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Must be able to perform medium work exerting in excess of 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects.
Must possess the visual acuity to operate required equipment and motor vehicles, use measurement devices, and inspect work for accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to work standards and instructions.

This is a part-time role and paid as a seasonal stipend. It is not eligible for benefits, but can be combined with a full time staff/faculty position.
