JOB DESCRIPTION:


Our Case Manager WIOA support jobs training, work experience and job placement for unemployed youth in the local community. This staff member provides personalized career assistance to each program participant, analyzing their work background, skills and interests to customize a career plan.

The Case Manager WIOA will be responsible for the following duties:

• Facilitate career exploration activities with youth (individuals and groups)
• Facilitating online assessments and assisting participants with other assessment tools.
• Referring the participant to other appropriate programs for assistance in a wide variety of areas.
• Exploring potential training and education for the participant which will utilize the work history, interests and skills of each individual to help them further their career.
• Coordinating research and application for scholarships and purchase of materials/ registration.
• Providing job search and employment counseling to support job placement and retention.

REQUIRES VALID CLASS C NORTH CAROLINA DRIVER LICENSE. (Will transport participants occasionally in vehicle).

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.

EXPERIENCE: Must be a mature and persuasive leader who is able to connect to and serve as a strong role model for youth. Being familiar with WIOA rules and regulations preferred. Prefer experience with mentoring programs, and experience with business/ community development. Training/ coaching or instructional experience helpful. Strong Microsoft Word, Outlook skills required.

PAY:  $20/hr
