ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development
• Secures patients onto our company's service (number determined in conjunction with management
• Develops relationships and maintains an active pipeline of potential clients; reviews pipeline monthly with supervisor
• Provides detailed list of events in the territory annually, with monthly updates. With supervisor, determines participation, assesses participation needs, plans and attends accordingly
• Maintains comprehensive list of region's medical professionals and chapter personnel; meets with them at appropriate intervals; maintains product knowledge and meets with local manufacturer representatives
• Knows the industry, reads national/local chapter publications, stays current on legislative changes, insurance coverage, manufacturer assistance programs and insurance plans within the territory; has working knowledge of the competition; visits website of chapters, manufacturers and competitors

• Proactively improves understanding of bleeding disorders, products and treatments; and is capable of disseminating this information to employees, patients and others within the bleeding disorder community
• Remains up-to-date on resources available to patients that may be helpful, i.e. chapter programs and resources, educational opportunities and support groups
• Remains aware of company programs and in-house experts available to assist patients, for example, social worker on staff and expert insurance advice
• Exhibits the "Difference" with community involvement and activity; maintains professional appearance and demeanor when representing the company
Patient Care and Retention
• Maintains consistent communication with patients and pharmacy to monitor compliance, anticipate needs, requests and special instructions; maintains a clear understanding of each patient's treatment plan, including products and supplies
• Contacts patients on a monthly basis to assess needs; secures pharmacy and ancillary orders, and is accurate and thorough in doing this process
• Follows up with patient deliveries to ensure accuracy and patient satisfaction; immediately reports any discrepancies to the pharmacy and takes appropriate corrective action
• Maintains clear and up-to-date records of all patient contact and information utilizing required forms
• Notifies pharmacy and reimbursement departments immediately of any changes in patient’s insurance coverage, medical condition, treatment plan and contact/delivery information
• Consistently demonstrates commitment to patient health and customer satisfaction


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Submits monthly expense reports and receipts consistently, accurately and on time
• Submits event summaries and photos for newsletter inclusion within 7 days of events; submits monthly listing of upcoming events; submits minimum of 3 articles annually by researching and composing articles, and/or by seeking article opportunities from consumers and professionals within the community
• Submits pharmacy and reimbursement forms, reports and requests consistently, accurately and on time
• Submits management required forms, reports and requests consistently, accurately and on time
• Submits corporate and human resources forms, reports and requests consistently, accurately and on time
• Participation in membership in professional societies and organizations.
• Must have scheduling flexibility.
• Overnight travel on occasion by car and airplane.
• Performs related duties as requested.
• Participates in quality assurance activities and audits as directed.

• Become and remain proficient is all programs necessary for execution. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
• This position requires constant sitting with occasional walking, standing, kneeling or stooping.
• This position requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects and the ability to reach with hands and arms.
• This position requires constant talking and hearing.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• This position must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds • Required to move/lift physical hardware.
