As a member of our Food Service Team,you will oversee the student store and school lunch program; completing all purchasing, organize and inventories food, and maintain free lunch applications including all paperwork related to student lunches and accounts.
‖ Responsibilities Include:
- Monday-Friday; 7am-3pm
- Managing and monitoring the Food Services Department Budget.
- Evaluating and ordering all supplies and food items.
- Preparing and serving daily meals.
- Interacting with contractors, vendors and school districts to purchase food and kitchen supplies.
- Scheduling and supervising food service assistants (students in workability program).
- Developing and maintaining positive, healthy relationships with students and all other departments.
- Enforcing all safety policies and taking immediate corrective action to eliminate hazardous conditions and practices.
- Ensuring school compliance with all food preparation regulations and monitoring regularly to ensure there are no violations.
- Keeping both kitchen and office neat with an appealing environment.
- Keeping accurate and timely records of student accounts.
- Keeping accurate daily records of students on the free/reduced fee lunch program.
- Preparing in-service and staff meeting menus.
- Maintaining lunch program applications for new student enrollment.
- Ensuring kitchen is kept clean and sanitized daily.
- Serving as an aide (also known as a “rider”) to provide supervision and management of student behavior during transportation routes in Spectrum owned vehicles (at applicable campuses).
- Providing (at applicable campuses) transportation for students by driving a Spectrum owned vehicle with student/s who require transportation to and/or from school. This responsibility requires an employee provided DMV driving record report.
- Riding as an aide when needed on a van to and from school.
- Following school/agency policies pertaining to transportation.
- Maintaining appropriate drivers’ license.
- Performing other duties and projects as assigned.
