Position Profile

Weaver is looking for an individual to fill an Endpoint Administrator II role in our growing internal IT department. This person will primarily engage in administrating, implementing, troubleshooting, and analyzing the IT System Center and Intune Infrastructure, including but not limited to OS deployment, application packaging and distribution, patch and driver management, task sequences, event monitoring, performance tuning, and automation via Orchestrator. Support is also required after hours as dictated by projects and incidents. Adherence to compliance controls and policies established and monitored from the corporate office in Texas.

Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Maintain and administer all aspects of Microsoft SCCM including SCCM Infrastructure, SCCM Administrator console, Software/Hardware Inventory, Software Distribution, Task Sequences, and Operating System Deployment. 
  • Maintain and administer all aspects of Microsoft Intune including compliance policies, configuration profiles, conditional access, app deployment, iOS/Android/Windows Enrollment, Windows Update for Business, Autopilot, Autopilot Pre-Provisioning, Windows Autopatch and the Intune Suite. 
  • Test and implement upgrades and enhancements to the existing SCCM and Intune environment. 
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. 
  • Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage resources and provide economies of scale. 
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services, as necessary. 
  • Implement policies and procedures surrounding Information Technology. 
  • Engage in creating, researching, testing, and execution of the Disaster Recovery plan. 
  • Provide technical guidance to clients on various issues via telephone calls, emails, and client requests. 
  • Maintain a positive attitude while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
  • Some travel required. Actively on-call for emergencies. 

Education and Skills

  • Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • 3 years of experience working as an SCCM/Intune Administrator/Engineer. 
  • 2 years of experience across multiple IT disciplines (Networking, hardware, Windows desktop and Server OS, Azure, Active Directory, GPO, virtualization). 
  • Knowledge of, SCCM, Intune, and current released versions of Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems 
  • Experience in imaging, patch management, scripting/automation, and software packaging technologies and processes, with emphasis on leveraging SCCM and Microsoft Intune 
  • Experience with Group Policy Objects (GPOs), writing, and troubleshooting, including software deployment, security settings, and configurations. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11), software packages and products. 
  • Experience working with OS tools (i.e. MDT, WAIK, Sysprep, WIM, WinPE). 
  • Must understand MSI packaging best practices and standards. 
  • Knowledge of O365 endpoint management/reporting. 
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell 
  • Knowledge of automation tools similar to Adaxes or Ansible. 
  • Troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose problems across multiple disciplines, and facilitate improvements based on root cause analysis. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage projects and other tasks under minimal supervision. 
  • The ability to travel for assessments, implementations, and support. 
  • Ability to support multiple concurrent projects. 
  • Good project management and communications skills. 
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. 
  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. 
  • Experience working in an agile, team-oriented, collaborative environment. 
  • Possesses the ability to plan, document, and effectively implement projects and systems. 
  • Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. 
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software related to this field.
