Description

The Respiratory Therapist Opportunity:

The Respiratory Therapist performs the full scope of professional respiratory functions within the parameters of professional licensure and standards of practice in a skilled nursing facility.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The starting pay range for this role is $29.45 - $32.00, based on education and experience.
  • We have 1 full-time and 1 part time role open. The hours for these roles are 6:00pm - 6:00am
  • This job is full-time and in person.

  • As a full-time employee of NCHC, you would be eligible for the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is a hybrid defined benefit plan. It contains elements of both a 401(k) or defined contribution plan and a defined benefit plan. Participating staff contribute 6.95% and NCHC will match this at 100% each pay period!

What Qualifies You:

  • Associate degree from an AMA approved school of respiratory care.
  • Knowledge of pulmonary service standards and practices acquired through the completion of an accredited course.
  • Registered RRT by the National Board of Respiratory Care, or registry eligible and obtained within one year of hire.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Preferred one to three years working as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Person-centered service in all interactions.

What a Respiratory Therapist Does at NCHC:

  • Contributes, participates, and supports the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) approach to providing quality care for residents.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Transcribes physician orders.
  • Maintains regular and predictable on-site attendance.
