We are hiring a Summer 2024 - Dental Lab Technician Intern at NDX National Dentex, DH Baker Dental Lab, in Traverse City, MI .
The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.
Outline of Training
Trainee to be trained as follows:
Understand and follow all safety procedures for all machinery in the laboratory
Learn dental terminology
Learn to read prescriptions and follow the client’s instructions
All other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities Required:
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Strong ability to read, listen, comprehend, retain and execute on written and verbal instructions.
High level of organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
Hand-piece/instruments
Additional related materials or equipment, as required
Computer, telephone
Personal protective equipment, as required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and/or reach.
Fine motor skills and ability to perform repetitive motions.
Vision capabilities, including depth perception, attention to detail, and color.
