Meyer Utility Structures is searching for Welders for the Steele, Alabama utility pole manufacturing plant. The qualified Welder will have strong hands-on welding skills, visual weld inspection experience, and the ability to plan the sequence of operation.

What You’ll Do:
- Plans sequence of operation and sets up face block, jigs, and fixtures
- Locates and marks centerlines and reference points onto floor or face block and transposes them to workpieces
- Moves and aligns parts into position
- Removes high spots and cuts bevels
- Straightens warped or bent parts
- Positions or tightens braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, bolt straps, or bolt parts in positions for welding or riveting
- Uses transit to locate reference points and erects ladders and scaffolding to fit together large assemblies
- Must be able to read measuring devices, interpret drawings, and tack weld components in appropriate locations based on drawings and travelers
- Must be able to conceptually understand how drawings translate to actual work
- Must maintain good attendance

What You'll Need:
- 2 years of welding experience
- Must be able to read measuring devices, interpret drawings, and tack weld components in appropriate locations based on drawings and travelers
- Must be able to conceptually understand how drawings translate to actual work.
