Establishes positive and trusting relationships with students and families.
Implements restorative practices and effective classroom management strategies.
Works collaboratively with team, instructional coaches and administration to employ best practices.
Plan and deliver educational instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned in both whole group and small group settings.
Conduct and facilitate standard based assignments, projects and assessments that are research based and appropriate for the students assigned.
Utilizes data to drive whole group and small group targeted instruction.
Provide corrective feedback to students, and re-teach as necessary, to ensure that the students have mastered the objectives.
Conduct research and read professional literature in the subject area of the assignment.
Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians, and other educators to assist the students.
Implement the approved-course curriculum effectively.
Implement modifications in a student’s education plan as required.
Consult with other school staff as necessary to complete the functions of the position.
Complete written reports, and assigned administrative tasks related to these functions.
Demonstrates strong classroom managements skills.
Utilize preventive discipline methodology with assigned students.
Model positive character virtues and habits.
Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.
Partner and communicate proactively with parents.
Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/School Leader.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Education or related filed
Arizona Level 1 IVP Card Licenses & Certifications: Preferred, but not a requirement - State Teaching Certification
Experience: 1-2 years successful teaching experience. Knowledge, Ability & Skills: Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills; ability to perform independently.
Ability to remain pleasant and helpful under sometimes-stressful circumstances.
