Assembler I (
Responsible for the safe, secure, and accurate performance/completion of tasks that are necessary to the production process. Performs routine and repetitive assembly operations in an efficient manner while keeping safety and quality top priority.
Essential Job Functions
- Efficiently pack customer orders ensuring the correct parts and quantities are included.
- Select applicable packaging (box/container) for the order, insert applicable packaging material, construct and seal once completed.
- Affix packaging label to the outside of the package.
- Follow detailed instructions to meet safety and quality requirements.
- Requires use of a few simple hand tools (wrenches, screw drivers, torque gun, scissors, box cutter..).
- Comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures.
- Be a team player who is willing to work with those in their assigned lines or groups and willing to flex to other areas to meet customer demand/order completion.
- Assist in physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Additional responsibilities
- Ability to use tools to make or repair parts and products.
- Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions such as standard work.
- Work in a team environment with other members of a line or group to assemble products.
- Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand continuously for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise.
- Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions such as standard work
- Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Flexibility with work hours for overtime as scheduled.
