SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $80,000 a year, based on experience
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Maximize operational process efficiencies by managing the third shift picking and loading processes and assist the Shift Manager with all aspects of that position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Management:
Supervise and staff employees appropriately on shift
Coach, motivate, and train all warehouse employees
Learn and enforce Union contract Train
Follow all OSHA safety guidelines, maintain clean and safe warehouse
Warehouse:
Supervise picking and loading process, upload all hand helds for morning
Verify/authorize time clock punches
Utilize proper staffing levels
Prepare nightly shift reports and prepare warehouse for the morning crew
Ensure adherence to supplier and company quality control procedures
Learn all aspects of the operations department position to cover vacations, illnesses, etc.
Manage all voice picking procedures
Work with the Shift Manager to update the warehouse layout
Manage all warehouse equipment
Safety:
File injury reports as needed
Maintain clean facility
Manage equipment repairs as needed
Facility Maintenance:
Secure facility nightly, by working with the alarm and guard services
Communicate building repairs as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communications with all levels of management
Quick thinking, able to react and use good judgement
OSHA regulations knowledge
Warehouse knowledge (layout, rotation, etc.)
Product knowledge (code dates)
Personal computer skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
College degree preferred
5 + years of Warehouse Operations or Logistics experience
Supervisory experience with large groups of people in a physical environment
Experience in consumer-packaged goods or a related industry a plus
Capable of heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds is required
