Job Description
A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver offers essential support, positive direction, instruction, and uplifting encouragement to individuals with various abilities, including mental, physical, intellectual, and developmental. Their primary goal is to enhance the quality of life, promote independence, and empower the individuals we serve with a person-centered approach.
What You Get to Do:
Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
Transport clients to appointments or other activities outside the home.
Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
Qualifications
