Job Description
Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 USD Gross per hour
The Golf Shop Merchandiser is responsible for assisting the Head Professional and golf operation with the management of all retail inventory, accounts and presentation within the golf shop and customer services areas.
Inventory Control and Management
Monthly inventory counts and uploads via Dataworks
PO / GL comparison reports
Reference monthly budget and sales reports
Review inventory numbers with Accounting at the close of each month
Vendor Management
Ordering of all soft / hard good and accessory item for the golf shop
Attend industry trade shows to preview new product / vendor lines
Maintain professional relationships with all vendor representatives
Golf Shop Presentation
Maintain a five star look within the golf shop
Continuously change and update displays and product
Moving mannequins, rearranging tables
Receiving of all inventory into DataWorks
Create a PO for each order
Sku product
Turn in all PO’s / Invoices to Purchasing & Accounts Payable
Work with accounts payable to make sure status of accounts is current
Placing special orders for members and guests
Working with First Assistant to order gifts/prizes for tournaments/group events
Help facilitate Member Ladies Days with merchandise offerings
Assists in the planning & execution of member tournaments
Must become familiar with members, their likes and dislikes
Serves as a representative of the Club, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other staff, management, Members, and Guests.
Compliance with all Club Safety Regulations and participation in ongoing Safety Seminars.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
Computer/Office skills required
Previous experience required
Ability to work weekends/evenings/holidays/overnights
Ability to communicate in basic English
Refined customer service and interpersonal skills
Positive, enthusiastic, and helpful attitude
Must be able to communicate effectively with members, guests, and employees. Understanding of English language is essential
