We are seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to join our team as an Assistant Program Director, who will oversee the operations of our community programming in support of providing the individuals we support in learning the skills they need to become independent within the community. The ideal candidate will be driven and self-motivated to form new community partnerships which will allow us to develop new activities and engagement for the individuals we serve.

This position pays $26.00 per hour with regularly scheduled increases and opportunities for growth.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly driven professional with experience developing group activities, creating new community partnerships, and designing workshops that support individuals with mild intellectual disabilities or behavioral support needs.
The Assistant Program Director is responsible for supporting the operations of the Santa Rosa, CA Resource Center. This program is designed to support people's independence in the community. The focus is on volunteering, employment, travel training, purchasing and money management, continuing education, and behavioral self-regulation. The goal of the program is to teach each person the skills they need to become independent within the community.
Your role as the Assistant Program Director will be to create new community partnerships, oversee the quality of current program offerings, creating workshop calendars and maintaining regulatory compliance, budgeting and overall leadership for the operations of the program and staff.
If you have previous supervision experience and have also worked in positions supporting summer or day camp activities, working as a paraeducator in a school setting, or have a background in sales or development, this position would likely be an ideal fit for you.
Qualifications
One year of experience in a management or supervisory position required.
Two years of experience in the human services field.
Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience developing activities and workshops.
Driven and self-motivated to form new community partnerships which will allow us to develop new activities and engagement for the individuals we serve.
Psychology or mental health background preferred.
Must be comfortable supporting clients with verbal aggressions or self-injurious behaviors.
