Description

Reports to:            Sr. Global Corporate Lab Manager

Department:          Global Corporate Lab

Location:               Pawtucket, RI

Overview:      

This internship program has been tailored to meet the needs of engineering students who are interested in obtaining hands-on experience in the field of polymeric material testing and behavior. During the program, students specializing in Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical, or Polymer Engineering will have the opportunity to explore and learn various polymeric material characterization techniques that can help formulators and part designers in their work. They will also gain experience in executing and communicating the results to respective engineers using state-of-the-art practices.

As a Co-op student in our Rhode Island Manufacturing facility, you will leave with an understanding of the Corporate Lab operation. You will understand the communication between functional areas as well as personnel and be able to navigate successfully within a Lab environment.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Paid Internship, Summer, 2024, full time, Monday- Friday
  • Specializing in Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical, or Polymer Engineering
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

 

Shift Available:

1st Shift M-F, 7:00am to 3:30pm (flexible scheduling)

 

The program will occur from June 2024 to August 2024.
