Job Description
Product Manager II is responsible for leading initiatives for product planning and product marketing. This includes leading the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering to deliver the winning products. It also includes collaborating with sales, marketing, and cross functional support to ensure revenue, margin and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Managers scope of work includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Key Accountabilities
Analyze product performance, product competitiveness, and product trends globally and develops strategies for assigned products/brands based on research and analysis.
Build and present new product business cases and stage gate exists.
Create value propositions based on solving for the customer.
Own Product Lifecycle Management Process (PLCM) to define the product strategy and create product development roadmap for relevant product categories and focus areas.
Develop the core positioning and messaging for BU products.
Establish pricing strategy to meet revenue and profitability goals.
Collaborate with Marketing to develop and implement marketing activities to maximize sales of an assigned product or brand within applicable budget.
Collaborate with Sales to develop and implement channel stocking strategy to ensure sold inventory placement within regions supported by service center network.
Coordinate development and deployment of appropriate sales strategies and implementation.
Engage closely with distributor and OEM customers to develop GTMS for portfolio globally.
Product expert with emphasis on part numbers, configurations, BOM’s, cataloging, markets, customer and value propositions.
Direct collection and maintain voice of customer (VOC), competitive intelligence and key products attributes.
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
Look at adjacent product categories for future expansion.
Track mega trends impacting water to find new product solutions.
Utilize Zurn Elkay Business System (ZEBS) for effective process development, problem solving and countermeasure activities.
Leadership, mentoring, and growing product management talent and capabilities.
Setting high goals for personal and group accomplishments while using measurement methods to monitor progress towards goal achievement.
Drive a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Engineering (MBA preferred)
Preferred 7 years leadership experience in product marketing or engineering function.
Strategic and creative thinker with strong analytical and decision-making skills that can achieve global quality, service, cost, and profit goals.
Exceptional track record of dealing with and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
Must possess team, organizational effectiveness skills, and strong financial/strategic acumen.
Strategic, hands-on, consultative, and collaborative approach with ability to secure buy-in for initiatives from all management levels including senior leaders.

Salary Range: The compensation range(s) identified above are a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations. Actual salaries may vary based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training; and other relevant business and organizational factors. Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.
