Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly qualified Construction Manager for immediate placement in San Diego, CA. This critical role demands a professional with extensive experience and a commitment to excellence in project management and oversight.

The core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Execute work requiring advanced independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Serve as the primary project lead in the field, overseeing and directing the construction management staff with authority and precision.
• Assume full responsibility for the supervision of field staff while providing crucial support to office personnel.
• Demonstrate and maintain a comprehensive understanding of project documentation standards and exhibit exceptional coordination skills to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS + 6 years or more of relatable or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• California PE License.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience.
• Experience working in Caltrans or Railroad ROW.
• Highway widening experience, Structures experience, Tolling Experience, and/or Railroad experience
• Technical Writing skills.
• Experience on public works transportation projects with construction value $20M+.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Experience as Resident Engineer and as Office Engineer.
• Strong understanding of industry standard processes for submittals, RFI’s, change orders, and pay applications.
• Experience writing and processing change orders.
