As the Managing Director of the NV5 Owner's Representative office in Solon, Ohio, you will play a pivotal role in leading the business operations and driving business development initiatives for the office. Your strategic vision, leadership, and expertise will be essential in shaping the office's growth and success. NV5 is a provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sector clients, delivering solutions through six business verticals: Testing, Inspection & Consulting; Infrastructure; Utility Services; Environmental Health Sciences; Buildings & Program Management; and Geospatial Technology. Responsibilities

1. Business Operations Leadership:

• Provide strategic direction and oversee day-to-day operations of the Solon office.
• Ensure the office's efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize performance.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee development.

2. Business Development:

• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within region.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and expectations.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve growth targets.
• Collaborate with senior management to align business development efforts with the company's overall goals.

3. Financial Management:

• Provide oversight and manage the office's budget, forecasting financial performance.
• Monitor financial metrics and take corrective actions as needed to ensure financial targets are met.
• Identify cost-saving measures and opportunities for revenue generation.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

• Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of professionals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members.

5. Client Engagement:

• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and align services accordingly.
• Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and client needs.

6. Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure that all operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a related industry.
• Strong business acumen with a track record of successful business development.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Financial management and budgeting expertise.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of the construction, engineering, or related industry is a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Ideal candidate is either lic. architect or professional engineer (but not required)
