Our client is a global alternative asset manager with $125 billion in AUM with investment strategies in real assets and private equity. The firm operates in Asian markets, the US, Brazil, and Europe. The Senior Tax Accountant will assist in all corporate tax reporting and compliance work.
Responsibilities:
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting closing processes
Own the filing process for the annual tax compliance documentation
Review quarterly REIT compliance testing, checklists, and memos
Review tax workpapers
Assist with responding to federal and state tax notices
Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to the business, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
CPA required
4-6 year of experience in corporate tax or at a national accounting firm
REIT or real estate experience preferred
Strong understanding of FAS 109 and U.S. GAAP reporting for income taxes
