Clinical Supervisor Foster Care

MSPCC, a division of Eliot, is searching for an experienced individual as a Clinical Supervisor to support Trauma Coaches. Trauma Coaches work with Foster Parents. This person will have the capacity to engage, mentor, train, and educate foster parents.  The ideal candidate will have a sense of compassion, curiosity, open-mindedness, and collaborative problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet individually with each of the Trauma Coaches and conduct group supervision.
  • Co-facilitate case consultation groups alongside staff from the FaCES clinic.
  • Co-facilitate skill-enhancement peer support groups with Trauma Coaches.
  • Monitor Trauma Coach documentation (intake forms, encounter forms, tracking forms).
  • Attend trainings with the team to expand existing knowledge of foster care.
  • Attend regular team meetings and check ins with Project Coordinator.
  • Participate in behavioral health workgroup meetings and information sessions as needed.
  • Explore innovative programmatic approaches (on-call Trauma Coaches, internal RPC trainings, extending programming to include post-adoptive families, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or similar degree and a minimum 3 year’s post-Master clinical experience. Must be trained in trauma informed modalities such as TFCBT.  
  • Training in motivational interviewing (preferred). 
  • Must have knowledge of the foster care system and experience working with caregivers and youth in foster care.  
  • Must be familiar with the provision of services via telehealth and management of a remote workforce.  
  • Demonstrate sound judgement and effective, solution focused problem-solving skills. Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with residents, staff, co-workers, and supervisor. 
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.

Schedule: 20 hours per week
