Civil Project Engineer (P.E.)

M&S Engineering, LLC is seeking a qualified and innovative Civil Project Engineer (P.E.) at our New Braunfels, Texas location with experience in the design of public works projects (roadway, drainage, water distribution, wastewater collection, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, design and construction administration of municipal infrastructure facilities/projects
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation, and assessment for utility infrastructure projects
  • Prepare reports
  • Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Analyze processes based on field investigations, drawings, and specifications, and perform calculations
  • Review and prepare federal, state, and local permit applications
  • Perform construction observation and field engineering services

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
  • 3-5 years' experience preferably in a consulting engineering environment in municipal infrastructure facilities/projects.
  • P.E. license in the State of Texas is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation
  • Experience working with Municipal clients
  • Progressive experience in planning, design, permitting and construction administration of infrastructure improvements
  • Physically able to perform work in the field
  • Construction observation experience is a plus
  • Detail-oriented team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and use of standard engineering software
  • Experience with WaterCAD, KYPipe, or similar water distribution modeling software is preferred
