Requirements

• Currently enrolled student of Auburn University

• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0

• Must obtain and maintain a current CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

• Complete Securing the Human training within one week of email notification (annually)

• Must possess weightlifting experience

Job Duties

• Monitor members in the Olympic lifting and Powerlifting space to ensure safety and well-being during participation

• Clean and sanitize facility space and exercise equipment to provide a safe area

• Educate members on Rec Wellness Center and OPL policies, enforcing them when required

• Utilize Fusion software to monitor daily reservations and member check-in

• Report injuries and incidents to Facility Supervisor and OPL Pro-staff

• Employ strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills with members when policies and/or procedures are violated

• Follow established open/close procedures to ensure the security and safety

• Coordinate emergency and evacuation procedures that include care for the injured, initiation of the emergency action plan, notification of appropriate university and community authorities, and completion of paperwork

• Act as a first responder for health and weather-related emergencies

• Utilize When to Work to communicate work availability to supervisors and co-workers

• Effectively use time-management skills for all shifts and essential functions

• Attend all mandatory in-services, meetings, and trainings
