Overview

We are seeking a Travel Hospice Registered Nurse to join our Internal Travel Nursing team.  Our Internal Travel Registered Nurses provide staffing support to Hospice branches across the enterprise by fulfilling temporary staffing needs, as determined by regional and company-wide leadership.  The Travel Registered Nurse role is full-time and benefits eligible as well as per diem and housing allowance qualified. Responsibilities

  • Travels to Hospice agencies, as assigned by leadership, to provide staffing support
  • Completes initial assessments and ongoing comprehensive assessments of patients and families
  • Initiates patient plan of care and reevaluates as necessary
  • Utilizes health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis
  • Administers medication and treatment as prescribed by the physician in the plan of care
  • Counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs
  • Maintains accurate clinical notes
  • Communicates with physicians and participates in interdisciplinary group meetings to meet the medical and emotional needs of the patient and family/caregivers
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited nursing school with a current license to practice in state of residence
  • Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) License
  • Willing to obtain additional state nursing licensure in non-compact states, as deemed necessary by leadership
  • At least two years of Hospice nursing experience
