This position is located at the Red Rock Job Corps Center, in Lopez PA, and is NOT remote.

Red Rock Job Corps is currently looking for an Assistant Cook. If you are ready to be part of a strong team dedicated to assisting disadvantaged youth towards a path of success in a beautiful location with a team like no other you have found your new career. 

 HOURS: 

• 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Mondays; 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Tuesdays, Fridays thru Sundays; OFF Wednesdays & Thursdays
• 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sundays thru Thursdays; OFF Fridays & Saturdays

POSITION SUMMARY:   Responsible for assisting in the preparation of food and beverages for consumption by students. Assists in kitchen clean-up to facilitate sanitizing of all food service areas.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer previous experience in food service. Must be able to obtain Serve Safe credentials. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION: May provide supervision and training to Job Corps’ Work-Based Learning students.

All employees of Adams and Associates/Red Rock Job Corps Center must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by December 8, 2021, absent a legal exemption for medical or religious purposes.
