PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Millennium Therapy is looking to add Full-time, Parttime, and PRN Physical Therapists to our staff. Millennium Therapy operates throughout Iowa, to provide Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy in a variety of clinical settings including Outpatient, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Assisted Living, and Home Health. Our staff is trained to provide efficient, effective therapy services, balancing patient needs with reimbursement directives. At Millennium Therapy, our patients are our priority, and each treatment is tailored to meet the individual patient’s needs and goals.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physical Therapist provides patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload.
  • Participates in the clinical team process.
  • Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff. 
  • Involvement in clinical program development. 
  • Supervises other licensed physical therapists, assistants, technicians, aides, and students as required.  Some programs with two or more physical therapists/assistants may provide additional administrative duties as assigned.
  • Position requires 40% standing, 20% sitting, and 40% walking.
  • Frequent physical effort with lifting medium to heavy, bulky, and awkward objects and patients.  Adequate physical endurance for walking, standing, lifting, reaching, and transferring patients/residents, weighing between 100 to 250 lbs. is frequently required, or pushing carts.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy and Professional Licensure in the state of hire; two years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize independent clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Utilizes effective time management skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
