As a Senior Braking Systems Engineer for Chassis Engineering, you will be a product owner and participate in engineering activities related to braking system development. You will work cross-functionally with other departments to deliver engineering solutions to dynamic problems and implement those solutions, as fit. You will take an active role in the global Vehicle Dynamics Sub-stream Team focused on aligning across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Acting as a Product Owner for braking system development and leading the roadmaps for braking systems in North America.
- Lead and support resolution of technical product quality issues.
- Leading and supporting technical product quality issues and making technical decisions on subsystem/component level with global and cross-functional alignment.
- Leading engineering releases and reviews and approving engineering documentation and deliverables.
- Ensuring new designs fulfill business objectives as well as Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature targets.
- Engaging in networking across the organization, as well as influencing the work in other sites.
- component releases to resolve maintenance issues or secure project deliveries.
- Developing modular systems and components to optimize part diversity.
- Verifying component durability by requesting analysis and/or physical verification.
- Communicating active project deliveries during team leadership meetings.
- Integrating deliveries from others and securing quality readiness before release.
- Develop and share acquired competence (e.g., training) and provide technical advice.
- Be part of implementing and develop processes as necessary.
