Schedule: Morning Shift, Monday - Thursdays (22 hours per week)
We're seeking a dedicated School Counselor to join our team for the Summer School Session in Forest Park, IL. As a School Counselor, you'll play a crucial role in supporting students' emotional, social, and academic development during this period.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' academic, social, and personal concerns.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create effective intervention strategies for students facing challenges.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop appropriate action plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive school environment by promoting social-emotional learning and conflict resolution skills.
Serve as a resource for students and families, offering guidance on academic planning, career exploration, and college readiness.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and other school-related activities as required.
Requirements
Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or related field.
State certification or licensure as a School Counselor (or eligibility for certification/licensure).
Experience working in a school setting, preferably with diverse student populations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, parents, and colleagues.
Knowledge of counseling techniques, assessment tools, and relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
