Description

A Brief Overview
Hunt Communities Shared Services is seeking rising juniors or seniors who have a strong interest in learning about real estate including development, asset management and PPP (public-private partnership) functions. Participation in the program is intended to provide a ten to twelve week long training and mentoring program with exposure to various areas of the business.

What you will do

  • Support APM with various tasks related to development schedule management, engineering plan review, and development consultant reports.
  • Support APM and others by gathering data regarding project status and updating project schedules to reflect current best status.
  • Participate in project meetings with engineering consultants, land planners, and internal team members to advance planning and lot delivery goals.
  • Review housing/employment and income data; research local, regional and national housing and development data; coalesce gathered data to prepare reports which assess current market conditions and trends.
  • Collect local housing market data by driving local subdivisions and counting lots, homes under construction, and finished vacant lots. Visit model homes and inquire regarding sales pace, incentives offered to buyers, traffic counts, and neighborhood strengths and weaknesses.
  • Work with VP - Finance on special projects related to cash flow models, budget v current projections, and margin analysis for individual subdivisions or commercial sales.
  • Support VP - Commercial Sales with market research, construction status updates, and review of commercial construction plans for compliance with written design guidelines.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • some college experience (Junior or Senior) Required
  • Bachelor's Degree recent undergraduate Preferred
  • Related work / business experience Preferred
  • Strong academic background as a rising junior or senior majoring in business or real estate
  • Self-motivated, creative, and disciplined seeking to excel in the commercial real estate finance industry
  • Excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and support of multiple leaders
  • Requires a self-motivated individual who pays close attention to detail and who can prioritize in a fast-moving environment who can demonstrate client management and basic business literacy skills.
  • While working in an independent and reliable manner, teamwork and effective communication will also be necessary for success
