Job Title:  Assistant Dispatcher

SUMMARY

Dynalectric is seeking a highly talented Assistant Dispatcher for the Special Projects & Service Department in the Washington D.C. Area.  This position is located in the Dulles Virginia office. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for managing execution and profitability of Electrical Service Centers and Service Agreements.
  • Coordinate all electrical service work including Service Calls, T&M, testing, quotes.
  • Schedule Electrical Service Calls and Testing Dates with customers and field service technicians
  • Dispatch field service technicians daily/weekly as required to projects and service sites.
  • Coordinate closely and daily with service technicians, superintendents, project managers, estimating, suppliers, warehouse, purchasing, and accounting.
  • Maintain Electrical Service schedule.
  • Quote electrical service and testing work and contracts
  • Creation and Closure of all work orders
  • Invoice projects in a correct and timely manner
  • Lead all collections and accounts receivable efforts
  • Negotiate pricing and request purchase orders for all electrical equipment.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service and working relationship.
  • Visit customers and encourage direct business development and sales activities
  • Increase the present customer base
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines with ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
  • Analyzes and review proposals to ensure profitability.
  • Remain objective when faced with predetermined client number/expectations.
  • Participate in contract and change order negotiations.
  • Attend monthly department meetings.
  • Attend and present projects at monthly financial meetings.
  • Manage 24/7 electrical service calls and scheduling

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to supervise Service Technicians and other staff members on a daily basis.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Leadership ability and experience and collaborative leadership style.
  • Experience organizing, scheduling, and managing diverse electrical projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

 PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

JATC IBEW Local #26 Apprenticeship Program or Equivalent

Minimum 3-5 years relevant and related experience

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Power Point, Word, and Excel applications.

Basic use capabilities of ACCUBID and/or related Estimating software systems.

Working knowledge of Viewpoint or similar accounting software or related accounting system. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires visiting customer offices, walking company job sites and entertaining customers in various environments.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
