• Schedule activities and maintain records.
• Perform equipment checks and maintenance.
• Assist the SLP during assessments and perform clerical duties.
• Assist with research projects, in-service training, and education.
• Document progress and report information to the supervising SLP.
• Implement treatment plans or protocols developed by a supervising SLP.
• Act as an interpreter for non-English-speaking families when competent to do so.
• Conduct speech-language screenings using age-appropriate protocols developed by the supervising SLP.

Requirements

• Active Illinois SLPA license required.
• Completion of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist Assistant program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
