O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT seeks a Truck Mechanic to join our team at our Danbury repair facility. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.
Union membership is required at the time of hire or within the applicable application window.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, transmissions, steering, and other systems
Perform preventative maintenance
Run diagnostic tests and interpret results accurately
Perform Federal Motor Carrier periodic inspections
Use power, machine and hand tools safely
Follow all repair shop regulations and standards
Road calls as needed
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience as a truck and/or equipment mechanic
Proficient in equipment software diagnosis, and repair, based on manufacturing specifications
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems
Experience in welding preferred
Experience repairing paving equipment a plus
Strong attention to detail
Good diagnostic skills
Basic math skills
