Job Description
Salary Range: $95k - $105k (depending on experience)
Architects, develops, documents, tests and troubleshoots SharePoint solutions. Liaison between the personnel operating from the customer site and leadership. Gathers customer requirements and creates solutions in response to those requirements. Actively looks for business process improvements.
Duties & Responsibilites:
Assists HQ SpOC staff with EIS hosted SharePoint sites and USSF organizations and users by architecting and developing solutions on the SharePoint platform that are beyond the scope of the out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities while leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform suite of tools, i.e., Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
Engages with customers to analyze, document, understand their business requirements and develop the most efficient and effective solution to fit their needs.
Gathers customer requirements and creates solutions for HQ SpOC EIS platforms to satisfy customer requirements.
Enforces SharePoint governance by policing sites to ensure government requirements, including those pertaining to Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and Section 508 compliance are adhered to.
Provides the HQ SpOC and staff assistance with developing and maintaining their SIPRNet on-premise and NIPRNet SharePoint (SharePoint Online (SPO)) data, business processes, current workflows and other out-of- the box solutions.
Provides training on SharePoint and other SharePoint related tools as needed.
Design, develop and support SharePoint solutions and advance workflows using SharePoint Designer, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate and custom lists, levering JSON.
Development activities include the design of new solutions, creation of custom SharePoint sites and integration with custom workflows and solutions through Power Apps and Power Automate.
Work through the full life cycle development (starting development, testing and deployment)
Assist SharePoint customers in troubleshooting custom sites, workflows and custom applications and provide on-going support for custom developed solutions.
Briefs various options to solutions for customer review with the intent to improve the overall functionality of the SharePoint environment and provided improved efficiency to end-users within the organization.
Interacts with SharePoint using PowerShell as required to assist team members with data gathering, reorganizations, etc.
Communicates with end-users, team lead and team members, on the details of the proposed design and progress of work.
Tests customizations that have been implemented to existing and new sites and troubleshooting the user functionality and specific issues.
Documents the technical aspects of the existing system.
Documents solutions in the form of technical drawings, diagrams, reference guides, setup/installation guides and user guides.
Diagnoses/Resolves issues post deployment as needed.
Extend and enhance existing solutions as required as part of future releases.
Provides correspondence to the CAB on technical matters related to system changes, updates, and upgrades being considered.
Ensures the potential impacts of change requests are reviewed extensively before adoption to minimize negative impacts and reduce outages.
Qualifications
Required Skillset:
Formulates processes to parallel overall business strategies within a military headquarters environment.
Experience with SharePoint API’s (C#, REST, etc..), JavaScript, JQuery and PowerShell for SharePoint.
Highly Desired Skills:
Ability to deliver quality solutions in a timely manner.
Ability to plan, develop, prototype, and deploy web-based site configurations, web parts and applications.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a military headquarters environment.
Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Familiarity with USSF organizational structure and required protocols and decorum.
Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and status with all levels of military and civilian personnel within USSF.
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Power Platform with an emphasis on Power Apps and Power Automate which are used extensively to develop more advanced custom solutions.

Experience developing solutions/apps using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in software development, web design or related field with 5+ years’ experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree requirement (i.e., Associate Degree and 5+ years’ experience or High School Diploma and 9+ years’ experience).
The years of relevant experience must include at least 5 years in designing and developing custom solutions in both SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premise.
ITIL Version 3 or 4 – Foundation Certification (desired); CMMI Associate (desired)
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen
Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance
Top Secret Security Clearance (preferred)
